The Governors-Elect of Bauchi and Adamawa States, Sen. Bala Mohammed and Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who are facing corruption charges in courts will get some respite as their cases will be suspended in line with Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution which provides that “no civil or criminal proceedings shall be instituted or continued against a sitting Governor”.
