TransparencIT Nigeria, a civic tech non-governmental organization, has unveiled a new website devoted to the promotion of transparency and accountability in justice and service delivery.
The organization’s new website (www.transparencit.com) offers information sourced from open data sets aimed at controlling corruption in the public sector and articulating citizens demand for transparent, accountable and efficient justice and service delivery.
The website will give Nigerians the opportunity to track and monitor corruption cases and get daily updates on upcoming cases. The website also offers data on convictions secured by anti-corruption agencies and stolen assets recovered.
A new project, the public service accountability monitoring initiative launched by the organization seeks to promote unfettered access to public services by providing clear information about procedures of accessing public services and checking malpractices of front-line service providers.
The organization calls on Nigerians to take advantage of the platform to report poor service delivery and hold service providers accountable.
