TransparencIT frequently engage stakeholders in the criminal justice sector, so far, we have successfully organized three Public Policy Dialogues (PPD) on Corruption Cases and Compliance with Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015.
The Public Policy Dialogues, held in Kano, Lagos and Abuja, pulled discussants from experts in the legal profession, civil society, anti-graft agencies, courts and other community stakeholders to discuss on challenges faced by prosecuting agencies in the prosecution of corruption cases as well as challenges that are hindering full implementation and compliance to the Administration of Criminal Justice Act in prosecuting such cases. These policy dialogues continually offer us a two-way exchange of values and cooperation that guide our efforts to identify causes of delays in prosecution of corruption cases which aids us in developing a recommended framework that ensures smooth implementation of ACJA and speedy disposal of cases by all stakeholders without compromising fairness.
