Ridwan AbdulGaniyi

Ridwan AbdulGaniyi is a dedicated sustainable development strategist, Environmentalist, project manager and brand strategist. He is a lover of philosophy and has led several grassroots environmental advocacy. Ridwan is highly experienced in youth mobilization for climate action.

He is an alumnus of Geography and Environmental Management, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

He is also a multidimensional leader with an array of leadership experiences. In 2017 he served as the local organization President of the Junior Chamber International (JCI), Nigeria where he led over 100 young active citizens in achieving global goals through the execution of projects and programs which led to his nomination by the United Nations as ‘Peace is Possible’ Nigeria Ambassador.

Ridwan is also a member of the Global Shapers Community, an Initiative of the World Economic Forum.

He works at Hinata Energy, a renewable energy company, as the Operations Manager, he is also a State Team Lead for the African Clean-up Initiative and was a Project Manager at Break-Free from Plastic Awareness Initiative, Nigeria.

He is committed to Sustainable Development Goals and providing ecological solutions such as retailing Bio-fuel powered cookstoves to households as a healthier and economical alternative to charcoal, firewood, kerosene and gas and also recycling by providing the RecyclePay program and other waste management solutions.

His African Clean-up Initiative team has organized 119 clean-up around the country, and he has led more than 10 in his State. In 2019 his team hosted the first Sustainable Environmental Summit in Kaduna State.
